"Company's coming!"-the tagline for the DVD
Vorgyo and Company is an animated/puppetry hybrid kids' public TV special featuring the animated kids' pop band, Vorgyo, as well as the live-action, Georgia-based kids' duet act, Phillip & Madison; it features unforgettable songs in many genres. It's the sequel to Vorgyo and Friends, shot from Spring-Fall 2009 in Metairie, Louisiana and released Winter 2009 on TV and on DVD with a free soundtrack by Hi-Tops Productions, Hi-Tops Entertainment and Hi-Tops Audio with the tracks produced by Lisa Damiani.
The Plot Line[]
Vorgyo and the Vorgyettes are at their studio headquarters; they suddenly hear an urban-accented homeboy crying out, "It's us!" and then a Southern-accented homegirl calling out, "Open up!". Jazzgirl replies, "I'll get it!" and then, after unlocking the studio's front door, she screams with joy because of Phillip and Madison! After introducing themselves, Jazzgirl, Philly & Madi get to know the rest of Vorgyo as well as The Vorgyettes; Philly then shares the grossest moment of his life ever (when he ate a muddy pinecone) and sings "I Love Mud" with Madi, Jazzgirl and the other homegirls; afterwards, Phillip shares the story of how he stopped the worst nightmare of his life (going to Westley with just 1 marigold high top on pep rally day) just by singing; Folkgirl replies, "What a coincidence! I had that nightmare, too-and I was in it, wearing a single marigold high top just like Edward, who had a single vermillion high top!" Philly and Folkgirl sing "Where Do My Sneakers Go At Night?" Afterwards, Phillip then shares the weirdest day of his life ever: at lunchtime, on photo day, he gulped down his molar, but luckily, he didn't need the tooth fairy! Phillip and his homegirls then launch into "I Swallowed My Tooth For Lunch." To wrap things up, everybody thanks each other for coming and the guests go back to Westley on the bus; however, Vorgyo and The Vorgyettes plan the next big thing.
